In short: your photos and health information are used only to assess your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan and provide your care. They are not published, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone outside your care without your permission. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.
This notice is provided under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, it also covers the information you are entitled to under those rules.
Who is responsible for your information

If you go on to have surgery, Medicana Bahçelievler Hospital keeps its own hospital records as a separate data controller under its own privacy notice.
What we receive
- The photos you send of your face and nose
- What you tell us about your goals, breathing, previous nasal surgery and general health
- Your name, phone number, WhatsApp profile name, email address and country, if you provide them
- The messages we exchange and the dates they were sent
Photos of the face and information about your health are special categories of personal data. They are handled with additional care, as described below.
What we use it for — and what we do not
We use your information to review your photos and give you an initial opinion, to answer your questions, to discuss cost, and — if you decide to proceed — to plan your examination, surgery and follow-up.
We do not publish your photos, use them in advertising or on social media, share them with marketing or advertising platforms, or use them as before-and-after examples. Any other use would need a separate, specific written consent from you, which you are free to refuse.
Who can see your photos

- The named member of his team who handles patient messages, bound by confidentiality
- The hospital care team, only if you go ahead with surgery and only what is needed for your care
We do not sell your information or give it to agents, intermediaries or other clinics. We share it with public authorities only where the law requires it.
WhatsApp and transfers outside Türkiye
If you contact us on WhatsApp, the service is provided by WhatsApp (Meta). Messages are end-to-end encrypted, but WhatsApp processes some information, such as phone numbers and message metadata, on servers that may be outside Türkiye. Using WhatsApp therefore involves a transfer of personal data abroad.
By choosing to send photos on WhatsApp, you consent to this transfer. If you prefer another channel, write to info@ahmethalitaydin.com before sending anything and we will suggest an alternative.
Legal basis
We process your photos and health information on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to send them, and, where applicable, because processing is necessary for medical assessment and treatment by a physician bound by professional confidentiality. Your contact details are processed to respond to the request you made.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before it, but we will stop using the information and delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
How long we keep it
If you become a patient, information that forms part of your medical record is kept for the period required by Turkish health regulations.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Know whether we hold information about you and ask for a copy
- Ask for incorrect information to be corrected
- Ask for your information to be deleted
- Know who it has been shared with, inside or outside Türkiye
- Object to processing and withdraw your consent
- Claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing
Write to info@ahmethalitaydin.com. We answer within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK). If you live in the EU or UK, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
Before you send photos
- Send only photos of yourself — no other people in the frame
- Crop to your face if you prefer; nothing below the shoulders is needed
- Do not send identity documents, passports or bank details on WhatsApp

Start with five clear photos
Take one front view, one left profile, one right profile, one three-quarter view and one view from below. Use natural light, turn off filters and keep your hair away from your face.
Open WhatsApp, attach the five photos, and briefly describe what you would like to change, any breathing problems and any previous nasal surgery.
Photos allow an initial discussion of possible options and limits. They cannot confirm whether surgery is suitable or replace an in-person examination.
